Today’s Web Laureate Insight to last Tuesday’s poem…

TWiT: It’s Leo!

historically

from before the tech bubble bust of old to the new and coming lands in the clouds there has been one happy voice, person seen, and definitely heard, opinionating and commenting and explaining and exploring all things tech. his name is leo laporte — and a personal source of frequent poetic inspiration

within this writing you will find both TWiT (army) an d leo throughout and intertwined. twit’s highlighted in bold, leo underlined and the first 3 lines of each stanza.

intricately

the story of leo and twit is far from complete – homage to the technical and persistent presence of the technical insight of dvorak of crankygeeks and other fame – tube = the pipes and tubes of the internet – ‘mind and spirit be shown’ by always excited and happy leo everyday in video and audio … ‘presenting endlessly’ – receivers of the cast : duality of purpose in both the netcast(s) and those of the twit cast made up of awesome hosts – from ‘the mobile and the desk’ all can watch twit everyone, in all media and devices – the ‘mind’ of nearly last is that of which often discussed, leo’s mind, the twit army in chatroom

aside

I also want to note, that there was a time when writing this blog had reached a fork in the road, and it was leo, through motivational email to me coaxed me onward, to persevere — to great success and happiness

thank you, leo

Today’s Web Laureate Classic Insight into last Saturday’s poem…

WISIA: Not What I Asked

crowd–

often better than my friends — through the collective, cooperative answering of questions posed to this product, wisia.us once provided was early answers gleaned from the cumulative wisdom of all

–source

capturing the confusion and fun of fast paced questioning and answering, this poem captured best a whimsical q&a I had had with some friends, and the goofy twists and turns it took; in stark contrast to the more useful ones that wisia took when traveling the some inquisitions, shown via the links, that now seem to link to a website now gone

if only there were some crowd to pose the question to — where has wisia gone? 😉

I shall reply to you,
Your question,
So plainly stated,
"Would I prefer…
Bleach, Gantz or Z?"

In the form,
Flow and structure,
That was once,
Told by, to me,
A new acquaintance,
Time spent, that,
Became old of mine,
Responded to,
This question hence,
"Eight… Or all… Or 9?"

They responded,
To me that day,
As I now respond to you,
To there,
That question succinctly,
Addressed,
Albeit quite surprising,
To you now,
I so too say,
Their answer I must confess,
My answer,
Now too,
I speak, I say
Most definitely,
"Yes."

Today’s Web Laureate Insight to last Wednesday’s poem…

NeverTooMuch: Too

implore…

a site that declares and promotes that there can never be an excess when it comes to the purchasing and accumulation of material things may just be the one that —

for more…

often overused, and overdone are the rhyming couplets — excessively used throughout poetry to many a poet’s eyes’ regrets

instead of ending on a slightly more upbeat tone, this poem exceeds its target optimal length of 3 verses, in its gluttonous desire for more, its desire unsated, for more words and poetical ramblings of points just made, and most clearly already stated

and form broken in the last stanza four, further driving home the folly of more

the statement upon the now of all we,
can be captured in best verses three,
of more never to exceed that is much,

always being what each wants to touch,
excessive in kind, as like as of sprit,
most do not care as long as they wear it,

from shoes to blouse to the latest hot thing,
all of these things oft’ make it heart sing,
or if not of the heart there must be,
something else there, perhaps ethereally —

lest be found without any care,
a glut of desire,
a poor soul not there.

Today’s Web Laureate Classic Insight into last Friday’s poem…

Uncoverr: Old Fashioned Book

burried…

in a poetic work of how a certain type of book, technical and programming, will / may bring out the end of books themselves, at least in the form and fashion most immediately familiar, the service, uncoverred, whose purpose was to delivery these very techy books — itself has been found now vanished… purpose concluded?

rrespectfully…

in light of recent consumer device news, one must ask oneself…will the ipad end up making all books — old fashioned? what more timely than a look back at a poetic work that paid its respects to that old-old fashioned book — a good old book for those hoping to create the replacement to the good old book

written in anapaestic verse – style and structure chosen to give a sense of speed and the inevitability (of future and change) – as of something being pulled by force of gravity

So many,
Net topics:

Markets, Blogs,
Of these things,
Future bound,
Yet, so too
Uncoverred,
Form printed,
Held in books.

Today’s Web Laureate Insight to last Tuesday’s poem…

Twitter: Paragliding Whales

BUzz

is in the air after the recent announcement from twitter investor fred wilson and his warning to stop wasting time filling the vast ‘holes’ of twitter. it was not long until the warnings became real to many, for example, the purchase of popular twitter clients for blackberry and iphone – chirp.

buZZ

was the resonance found by many caught in unexpecting, unsuspecting states, those did not expect to ‘be pressed’.. one who was ceo founder of seesmic. i and others too feel that ‘the unconstrained’ creative people, forced to think outside the box, will in the end be better, by not focusing merely on the many many many shortcomings of twitter

will the next hole to be filled be that which bit.ly now fills? what would be their best move?
